The Diet Scribe Returns!

Remember me from the Richard Simmons old Helpin’ Boards back in the late 90’s and early 00’s? It’s Rita Reimers, The Diet Scribe, one-time employee of THE Richard Simmons, my friend and mentor.

I lost 55 pounds with Richard SimmonsI am back to again share my journey to better health with you! Yes yes, I dropped 55 pounds back in the day using the tools I learned from Richard, and was lucky enough to be featured in the RS Workout video Party of the Pounds! along with some of my good friends I worked out with at Slimmons/

WELL – the years went by (nearly 20 of them!), I left Los Angeles, Richard retired and Slimmons closed, and somehow the weight is now back on… I’ll be talking more about all that in later Blogs.

What’s the difference this time around? I am (much) older, and although I was very successful with Richard, Deal-A-Meal, and the FoodMover, this quest has a little different motivation…

WOW was I ever that young??

My Goal is to eat less animal protein, incorporate more plant based proteins, and eat a cleaner diet, leaning into eating MOSTLY Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian.

  1. That’s great Rita! I’m trying to change my lifestyle and get back to eating healthy. The Covid days and everyone being quarantined really did me in.
    I love Richard so much! Miss going to the Anatomy Asylum when I was in high school. It was so much fun. That’s awesome you were in a video! Good for you!!!
